This Saturday marks the second anniversary of selling my Raleigh home. No matter where I’ve lived over the past twenty years, it was always my “real” home. Thanks to Tom Dawson for finding it so many years ago – and to everyone in the neighborhood for making it home. And thank you to everyone for the sofas, day beds, real beds, guest rooms and tent sites I’ve used around the world over the past couple of years until I found my newest home, Cork. To quote Ben Rumson, “Home is made for coming from, for dreams of going to…” Thanks again to everyone!

While I may have left Raleigh, it hasn’t left me. My next couple of blogs are each about neighbors who made an impression on me. I hope you read, remember, and hopefully, enjoy.
