I think it’s exploration.

Explore whoever and wherever you are –your body, your mind, your soul, your spirit, your place. Learn how you tick. Learn what makes you tick. Know it better than anyone or anything else.

Explorers have lots of names. Are you a searcher, a traveler, a tourist, or just a curious person with a little bit of each? It doesn’t really matter, as long as you’re curious – and caring. If you care about learning. About yourself. About other people. Other places.

It makes no difference if we never leave our homes or never return to those places we’ve left. As long as we search our minds, our souls, our feelings and whatever environment we’re in, we’re travelers. Some of us prefer a constant, predictable place. Others a constantly changing one. It doesn’t matter, as long as we’re fully living in it. In its present. In its now.

Having said that, it’s important to get away from the day-to-day just to get some perspective. To see and be in other places, whether they’re on the planet or in your mind. When you come back – if you come back – you might see yourself, see your life as others do. If you’re an ass, maybe you’ll change, though you probably won’t. If you’re not sure of yourself, maybe you’ll get some reassurance to keep on keeping on. Or maybe you’ll see a part of yourself you’ve ignored all your life. And decide it’s worth using. And if you’re confident, maybe you’ll find some doubts.

The journey doesn’t have to be physical – it can be inside. It can be emotional, it can be intellectual, it can go into your soul. But here’s a tip, many times it’s the physical journey that opens our senses enough so that we can start the interior one.

Explore. Yourself. Your world.

Welcome ignorance, it’s an opportunity to learn.

Beware of stupidity, which is the nature of people who think they know all they need to know.

Beware of those who lack curiosity. Beware of those who believe they have all the answers.

Be aware.
