It’s been a while since I’ve seen snow on Christmas Day. But whenever I see an accumulation of freshly fallen, still clean snow I remember a particular day in the Colorado Rockies. I try to remember exactly how it is we can draw the sound of snow.

This is a beautiful piece of work. Magic realism at it’s best. I do think we can share without words…listen to music without lyrics. If I had to set this to music – it would be Ravel’s Bolero. The crescendo you build in your writing equates with that magical score….both just stunning.
Thank you, Jackie. That mountainside is a place – and a time – that I can easily slip back into, sort of like remembering beautiful music.
